8 am - Eden's 5k run at Shelby Farms on the Chicasaw Trail.  Nicely done race organized by a 13-year old and her family for her Bat Mitzvah project to benefit HIAS.  Funds go to helping provide supplies for an art therapy program HIAS runs for traumatized children at a camp refugees from Darfur, Sudan.

Perfect weather for the race.  Went out fast and was passed by two other women, one before mile .5 and the other just after mile 1.  Felt strong and kept up a good pace.  Left leg did not hurt.  Finished 3rd female overall, 10th overall for the entire race.
