2000 yd swim at 8:10 a.m.  5 - 6 mile mtn bike with Carbon at Shelby Farms at 11:30 a.m.  It was very muddy and I wiped out up in the field trying to get out of the track - tires (and me) caked with mud and couldn't get any traction - just mud on mud.  Riding down the gravel road cured that problem, though, at least for the tires.  Carbon loved it, but the grass is very high and there are lots of ticks out there.

Looks like I'm in for the St. George Marathon on Oct. 4.  That will be my target BQ.  Let the training begin!

Congratulations on getting in to SGM. Good luck on your training and your BQ attempt. That will be my BQ attempt as well, if I can just get and stay healthy.

Thanks, Jeff. Good luck to you, too. My only marathon effort to date resulted in an injury that prevented me from running for close to 4 months. I'm hoping, like you, to stay healthy as the training (and distance) progresses!
